Hello!

I'm a PhD student with Gürol Süel at the University of California San Diego. I graduated with a BS from UCSD with a double major in Microbiology and Marine Biology and a minor in Science, Technology, and Society.

How do bacteria work together, organize, and make decisions? How does nature solve biological problems? What are fundamental rules that govern biology? To try and answer some of these fun questions, I currently use time-lapse microscopy to investigate bacterial biofilm development.

Outside of the lab, I enjoy fiction, tennis, crochet, and mahjong (even though I lose quite often).
